Bad idea? Great idea? AMAZING IDEA.

Bike towing bikes. Always wanted to do this once I found out Goldwings can tow.

I saw this and immediately starting thinking about doing it. My VTX would easily pull a trailer if I put a hitch on it. I need a small trailer and a dirt bike. Ride to northern MN, ride the trails all weekend on the dirt bike, and ride home. It would be fantastic.

I’ve wanted to do this exact thing. I live 5-6 hours away from the Black Hills on straight and fairly flat roads, it’s too far to ride a sporty fun bike, but once I’m there I don’t want a big lumbering beast. This is the perfect solution and I will have this combo one day.

I love it. In my mis-spent youth, I had a ‘93 Vulcan 1500 with a home made trailer hitch. One of my friends had a small Harbor Freight flatbed trailer. Pretty soon we were looking for excuses to haul stuff behind the big Vulcan... notable trips included an electric cook stove, a refrigerator (very top heavy, take the curves s-l-o-w) and a couch. The couch was sticking out over the rear of the trailer. Ahh... the stupidity of youth!
